The National Minority Franchising Initiative (NMFI) has compiled its annual list of the “50 Top Franchises for Minorities.” i9 Sports was selected for this honor and featured in the sixth annual list recently published in USA TODAY.
The list acknowledges those franchisors who best demonstrate their commitment to the recruitment, inclusion and ongoing support of minorities. The NMFI selected 50 franchisors from hundreds of companies requesting evaluation for inclusion in the article. Each participating franchisor was required to submit a completed questionnaire detailing the number of operating units owned by minorities as well as the number of minorities in senior management.
“The steady increase in minority representation in franchising over the last several years is very encouraging,” stated Rob Bond, founder of NMFI and president of the World Franchising Network. “It certainly is evidence of minorities’ intrinsic values and work ethic. In addition, franchisors continue to make a concerted effort to reach out to minorities, which is ultimately highly beneficial in the long run to all parties involved.”
